Life Time Fitness Inc. (LTM): Director Joseph Vassalluzzo Bought 50,000 Shares


Life Time Fitness, Inc. (LTM) brought in $171.1 million for the fourth quarter revenue, compared to $139.3 millin in 2006. In 2007, the athletic fitness center operator widened the annual net income by 34.5% to $68. million, or $1.78 per diluted share, as memberships increased by 12.5%.


George Soros sold out his LTM holdings in the prior quarter, and Jean-Marie Eveillard kept his 446,700 shares.


Director Joseph Vassalluzzo bought 50,000 shares early-March at $28.99. EVPs Michael J. Gerend and Michael R. Robinson bought 5,000 shares and 1,000 shares, correspondingly around $29 a share. One enormous sell was made by Chairman, President and CEO, Director, 10% Owner Bahram Akradi, who sold a total of 85,300 shares at $60 in the last quarter.


Life Time Fitness Inc. has a market cap of $1.12 billion; its shares were traded at around $27.35 with a P/E ratio of 16.00 and P/S ratio of 1.73.


Macy's Inc. (M): Director Joseph Neubauer Bought 50,000 Shares


Macy's, Inc. (M) reported its quarterly profits at $1.65 per share compared to $1.60 from a year ago, excluding $69 million merge expedenture with May Company. The department retailer shrank their annual profit by 10% to $893 million from $995 million, as revenue dropped by 3% to $26.3 billion.


As Robert Olstein and Carl Icahn raised their positions, Ron Baron reduced his position in Macy’s. Also, both Kenneth Fisher and George Soros sold out their Macy’s holdings in the prior quarter.


Director of Macy's Inc. Joseph Neubauer bought 50,000 shares at the beginning of March at $23.56.


Macy's Inc. has a market cap of $9.83 billion; its shares were traded at $23.26 with a P/E ratio of 11.84 and P/S ratio of 0.38. The dividend yield of Macy's Inc. stocks is 2.1%.


PepsiAmericas Inc. (PAS): Director Michael J. Corliss Bought 30,000 Shares


PepsiAmericas, Inc. (PAS) boosted their quarterly profits by 61% to $42 million or $0.32 a share. The beverage manufacturer and distributor was able to make higher than expected profit with sales rising 14% to $1.14 billion. Although operation expense rose and domestic sales volume lagged, beverage price increases and expansion in the European market helped the company’s 2007 earnings to increase by 34% to $212.1 million or $1.64 a share.


Chairman of the Board, CEO, Director Robert C. Pohlad bought a total of 600,000 shares and Director Michael J. Corliss bought a total of 31,600 shares early-February at around $25.50. Insider sells were made between $26. and $29.12 since January: Directors Jarobin Gilbert Jr. and Herbert M. Baum each sold 5,517 shares; and VP Andrew R. Stark sold 4,214 shares.


PepsiAmericas Inc. has a market cap of $3.29 billion; its shares were traded at $24.98 with a P/E ratio of 15.58 and P/S ratio of 0.75. The dividend yield of PepsiAmericas Inc. stocks is 1.8%.


American Financial Group Inc. (AFG): Chairman of the Board Carl H. Lindner Bought 25,000 Shares


American Financial Group, Inc. (AFG)’s quarterly earnings dropped nearly 34% to $89.9 million or $0.76 per share, when they realized investment losses from write-offs. Property and casualty insurance company’s annual earnings were also down 15% at $383.2 million or $3.10 per share compared to the prior year.


Since September of 2007, Chairman of the Board Carl H. Lindner has purchased a total of 597,148 shares between $25.67 and $28.86 a share. Two large sells were made by Senior VP Thomas E Mischell, who sold 30,000 shares at $29.24 and Director Terry S Jacobs, who sold 10,000 shares at $27.86.


American Financial Group Inc. has a market cap of $2.86 billion; its shares were traded at $24.68 with a P/E ratio of 8.09 and P/S ratio of 0.65. The dividend yield of American Financial Group Inc. stocks is 1.9%.


URS Corp. (URS): Director Mickey P. Foret Bought 15,000 Shares


URS Corporation (URS), reported the quarterly net income of $26.4 million or $0.39 a share. In November, engineering and construction management company acquired Washington Group International Inc with $3.1 billion in cash and stock. The annual 2007 profits rose 17% to $132.2 million.


David Dreman bought 517,900 shares of URS Corp. and David Einhorn bought 2,289,413 shares as of the end of last year.


Director Mickey P. Foret bought 15,000 shares at $39.94 earlier this month and Director H. Jesse Arnelle bought 2,000 shares at $54.70 late-December. Since November, insiders made their sell between $54.05 and $62.13: President Stephen G. Hanks sold 31,800 shares; VP Reed H. Brimhall sold 20,000 shares; Director John D. Roach sold 20,000 shares; and VP Gary V. Jandegian sold 5,123 shares.


URS Corp. has a market cap of $3 billion; its shares were traded at $33.67 with a P/E ratio of 15.29 and P/S ratio of 0.58.
