Stephen Mauzy, S.P. Mauzy & Associates, and Thomas Russo, Gardner Russo & Gardner talked to CNBC about learning from Warren Buffett.

Mauzy and Russo each represents one school of thoughts on how to learn from Buffett.

Mauzy looks from the point of view of individual investor, who he thinks ought to do what Buffett did when he was young: concentrating on 6 to 12 Graham and Dodd deep value stocks.

Russo, the hedge fund manager, on the other hand, likes how Buffett is doing now: buying stocks of companies that have competitive advantages and owning a large collection of operating businesses.
