Warren Buffett’s investment company Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) just reported its second quarter portfolio. Berkshire buys Wells Fargo & Co., Verisk Analytics Inc., Mastercard Cl A and Dollar General. As of 06/30/2011, Berkshire Hathaway owns 27 stocks with a total value of $52.4 billion.

From the size of the purchases it looks to us like the Wells Fargo purchase was made by Warren Buffett. He is adding to the existing position at Berkshire. The purchases of MasterCard, Verisk Analytics and Dollar General are probably made by Berkshire Hathaway’s new CIO Tom Combs.
