Investment Ideas: Fairfax, Anta Sports Products and more....

I've been wanting to write articles for a long time. Finding value investments is difficult, but selling at the right time is even harder. I think for better results an astuce investor should do his own research to figure out the basis of the value investment thesis. As such, to have the confidence to buy more when the stock drops and to have a disciplne exit plan. It's important to understand the business model on your own basis, so to be able to discern market noise from your investment conviction. Sticking to an investment idea when it goes against you is crucial if you have done your own homework.

Second, I’ve been investing on my own without noticing what analysts are saying or buying. In fact, I have noticed that when everyone agrees on a stock that looks cheap, this stock may not be cheap anymore. There is much value to having independance of thinking in value investing.

In the next articles, I’ll track over time the return of my previous articles to show you the performance of the stocks I’ve recommended.

I personally have kept a track record of 20.45% since February 2007 to this date, with almost 75% of the portfolio invested in stocks and around 25% in bonds (ETF of bonds).
