Templeton executive chairman Mark Mobius discusses where he is finding global investment opportunities and what are the upcoming frontier markets which are ripe for growth and investments.
Here is what he said:
-- With bond rates 1% or less and with U.S. and EU markets not looking good, institutional investing in frontier markets to gain alpha.
-- Investing in consumer stocks all across the globe, specifically in emerging markets as 5 billion people are getting rich and will need these products.
-- Investing in diversified oil companies.
-- Investing in commodities.
-- Frontier market to consider for investments: Myanmar. It is going through the transition from a state-controlled economy to market-driven economy and that drives growth.
-- Fears about a China slowdown are overdone.
