While we are all trying to invest like Warren Buffett, my dream is really to find the next Warren Buffett and let him invest my money for me or borrow investment ideas from him.

I thought I'd found one in Sardar Biglari of Biglari Holdings, but I've been soured by the compensation scheme he created for himself with his company.

One investor who I've been keeping my eye on is Ryan Morris of Meson Capital Partners who is willing to take an activist position and get his hands dirty.

Today, Bloomberg gave us a chance to get to know him a little better. Some observations from the interview:

- His activist approach is aggressive in that he wants to cause change, but not aggressive to the people who you want to change. He likes to think of it as a constructive approach.

- He is looking to build communication with the parties he is dealing with and doesn't want to take a "Poison Pen" type approach like a Daniel Loeb might.

- This morning Morris was just named chairman of Lucas Energy (LEI, Financial); he is also chairman of InfuSystem Holdings (INFU, Financial).

- He thinks activist investing provides a chance for outsized returns because there is less competition because it is harder to do.

An interesting interview with an interesting young investor
