Billionaire investor George Soros speaks to CNNFN on his outlook for the global economy. He also discussed his views on the U.S. and what it will take to put the U.S. economy on a higher growth path.

-- U.S. outlook is best among all the major economies today.

-- Entire globe economies are struggling from after effects of 25 years of superboom which resulted in excessive leverage.

-- That excessive leverage needs time to be unwound.

-- The only way to work out of this is growth, and having additional fiscal stimulus combined with QE will drive that growth.

-- Cutting back at this time will not help.

-- Would like the government to use stimulus money on something that will eventually play for itself, like investments in infrastructure and education.
