Danaher Corp. (DHR): Chairman of Exec. Committee, Director Mitchell P. Rales Bought 28,351 Shares


The conglomerate Danaher Corporation (DHR)’s profit drops 1% on a $2.8 billion expense from acquiring Tektronix. The company reported a fourth quarter profit of $320 million or $0.97 a share and revenue of $11 billion.


In the quarter that ended on 9/30/07, while George Soros bought 2,954 shares, Kenneth Fisher and Ruane Cunniff kept their positions nearly unchanged.


Chairman, Director Mitchell P. Rales bought 28,351 shares on 1/31/08 at $74.95.

Overall in 2007, the company pulled an earnings increase by 3% to $690.1 million—which was owed to DOW’s joint venture with Hemlock Semiconductor Corp.

The packaged food producer announced a quarterly 6% income decrease to $585 million from $624 million and a profit drop by 53%. The annual profit also dropped by 15% to $2.6 billion or $1.62.
