The original corporate raider joined CNBC to discuss his plans to recapitalize Dell (DELL, Financial).

Icahn has arranged $5.3 billion in financing and believes that he obviously has a superior offer to what Michael Dell's take-private proposal offers.

Southeastern Asset Management who was also involved with Icahn in some shareholder action at Chesapeake Energy (CHK, Financial) is joining Icahn in his proposal.

Icahn says that he has a few people in mind to run Dell if he should prevail in this action.
