CEO of TIVO Makes $100 Thousand Buy

The President and CEO of Tivo (TIVO), Thomas Rogers, bought 10,000 shares of company stock on July 1.

Rogers bought these shares at an average price of $11.14 per share for a total transaction amount of $111,400. Since his purchase, the price per share has increased 1.17%. Rogers currently holds on to at least 1,776,340 shares of company stock.


Also on July 1, CFO Naveen Chopra sold 3,030 shares. Chopra sold these shares for $11.15 per share and brought in $33,784.50 as a result of this transaction. Since his sell, the price per share has increased 1.08%.





Tivo is a developer and provider of software and technology that enables the search, navigation, and access of content across disparate sources, including linear television, on-demand television, and broadband video in a single, easy, intuitive user experience. It provides these capabilities through set-top boxes that include digital video recorders or non-DVR set-top boxes, tablet computers, mobile phones, and other screens.

The analysis on Tivo reports:


· The revenue has been in decline over the past five years.

· The P/S ratio is near a 2-year low of 3.75.

· The P/E ratio is at a 5-year high.


Recently Tivo has entered into a partnership with Mediacom, the eight largest cable company in the U.S. Tivo Launch will deliver both IP and traditional video on demand on any screen in the home for Mediacom subscribers.

Tivo has a market cap of $1.4 billion; its shares were traded at around $11.27 per share with a P/E ratio of 261.50 and a P/S ratio of 4.20.


As of March 31 Steven Cohen owns over 6.5 million shares of Tivo, or 5.33% of the company’s shares outstanding; Mario Gabelli owns 527,800 shares, or 0.42% of the company’s shares outstanding; and Jim Simons holds nearly 1.5 million shares, or 1.18% of shares outstanding.
