Thank you very much, and very good morning and good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I welcome all of you to our Investor Day here on New York where my team and I will give you what we hope will be a useful update on an insight into Barrick's performance, future prospects and strategy.
We meet at a time when the world is in greater economic and political turmoil than it has been for generations. So great, in fact, that the entomologists have had to coin a new word to describe our situation. The word is polycrisis.
We'll be using another word frequently during our presentations today and that word is strategy. I think Barrick is one of the very few, if not the only major gold and copper miner that has a clear long-term business strategy that we are executing against in a disciplined manner.
