Good afternoon. I am Selim Bassoul, Chairman of the Board of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. I will be serving as the Chair of our 2021 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Danielle Bernthal, the company's Assistant General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, will serve as Secretary and Parliamentarian.
This past year has been exceptionally challenging as the world contends with a pandemic that has upended all our lives. In light of the ongoing pandemic, we decided it was in the best interest of our stockholders, employees and directors to hold this year's annual meeting virtually.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and all the employees of the company, I would like to extend a warm welcome to each of you, and thank you for joining our annual meeting.
I will now call the meeting to order. The principal business of this annual meeting is to elect 7 nominees named in the proxy statement as directors, approve executive compensation, approve amendments to our charter and ratify the appointment
