Gurus Wasatch International Growth (Trades, Portfolio) and David Herro (Trades, Portfolio) led a short list of investors who dabbled in Swedish stocks in the fourth quarter.

Wasatch was the most active with three transactions on the Swedish stock market. Herro had two.

It added 640,287 shares of Tethys Oil AB (OSTO:TETY, Financial), a Swedish oil and gas exploration and production company, to its portfolio for an average price of Kr73.48 (about $8.42 in U.S. dollars). The transaction had a 0.39% impact on Wasatch’s portfolio.

Herro reduced his stake in one Swedish company – Hennes & Mauritz AB (OSTO:HM B), a retail-clothing company – and increased his stake in another, Swedish Match AB (OSTO:SWMA, Financial), a Stockholm-based company that specializes in smokeless tobacco products but also makes cigars, matches and lighters.

Herro sold 3,684,000 shares of Hennes & Mauritz for an average price of Kr302.36 (nearly $34.67 in American currency). The sale had a -0.54% impact on his portfolio.

Hennes & Mauritz has a P/E of 12.7 and a Price/Book of 3.9.

Herro bought 1,264,000 shares of Swedish Match for an average price of Kr237.88 (roughly $27.27 in U.S. money). The purchase had a 0.15% impact on his portfolio.

MS Global Franchise Fund (Trades, Portfolio) divested itself of its stake in Swedish Match in the fourth quarter, selling its 38,630-share stake for the same average price that Herro paid for shares in the company.
