John Hofmeister believes that the recovery in oil will happen quickly and that it is going to be a demand story. He sees the third quarter as the time it starts as daily supply and demand move into equilibrium.
He also thinks that most investors are not paying enough attention to how much current production is declining and how the lack of capital investment is not enough to offset that.
