Mario Gabelli Reduces Stakes in Cablevision Systems Corp

Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio) recently decreased his stakes in Cablevision Systems Corp (CVC, Financial), according to GuruFocus Real Time Picks.

Cablevision Systems Corp is a cable operator based in the United States and organized in 1997. The company provides high-speed data and Voice Over Internet Protocol services.

On March 1, Cablevision's president Brian G. Sweeney became chief financial officer. As the president and CFO, he will continue to work with James L. Dolan, the CEO, on managing the company. Sweeney's duties include overseeing the company's financial and accounting matters, along with investor relations, treasury, business development activities and other financial functions.

Gabelli sold 136,203 shares at an average price of $19.17 a share. He now owns 11,785,870 shares.

According to the DCF calculator, CVC's intrinsic value is $16.82 a share, which results in a -22% margin of safety since it is currently trading at $20.49 a share.

EBITDA per share for the trailing twelve months as of December 2014 was $6.89 a share and its growth rate for the year was 7.30%.
