Leon Cooperman (Trades, Portfolio) still thinks that stocks are the place to be.
He believes that because none of the four possible reasons for a bear market currently exist.
- He sees no recession on the horizon.
- Stock valuations are not frothy; they aren't cheap, but they aren't overly expensive.
- There is no geopolitical event happening that would cause a selloff; there are concerns but nothing major.
- The Federal Reserve will continue to be very accomodative.
Cooperman basically thinks that, while stocks aren't cheap, they are the best alternative today.
