John Hussman Shakes Up Portfolio in Second Quarter

Stock market analyst and mutual fund owner John Hussman (Trades, Portfolio) made his reputation by predicting the Great Recession of 2008-2009. In the second quarter of 2015, he shook up his Top 10 holdings by volume.

Hussman reduced his stake in Barrick Gold Corp (ABX, Financial) by one-third, but it remained the largest stake by volume in his portfolio. Hussman also reduced his third-largest stake by volume, Newmont Mining Corp (NEM, Financial), a Colorado-based gold producer with mines in Nevada, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Ghana and Peru, by nearly 28%, selling 300,000 shares for an average price of $25 per share.
