Bill Ackman Buys EMC Corp. during the Second Quarter

Bill Ackman bought about 40 million shares of EMC Corp. during the second quarter, his investment company Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P reported in an amended filing today.


His purchase prices were between $14.77 and $17.72, with an estimated average price of $16.1. The impact to his portfolio due to this purchase was 19.31%. His holdings were 39,916,259 shares as of 06/30/2008. EMC Corp. has a market cap of $23.39 billion; its shares were traded at around $10.51 with a P/E ratio of 15.42 and P/S ratio of 1.46.
