U.S. market indexes were mostly higher on Monday.

For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,408.52 for a loss of 5.82 points or 0.03%. The Standard & Poor's 500 closed at 2,427.43 for a gain of 2.25 points or 0.09%. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,176.39 for a gain of 23.31 points or 0.38%. The VIX Volatility Index was lower for the day at 11.07 for a loss of 0.12 points or 1.07%.

Monday’s market movers
