Barnes & Noble (BKS, Financial) introduced their e-reader today, “nook“, and it looks really great. In fact, it seems to be a “Kindle Killer” in every way possible. To see just how much of a killer it is you can view a comparison on the nook website. Not only are nook owners able to share their books among multiple devices (iPhone, laptop, etc), but BKS is actually using their large network of bricks-and-mortar stores smartly as alluded to in my previous post on the company. In addition to the new device being allocated prominent space in-store, there will be exclusive content available on the nook when used inside a BKS store. Investors should be rewarded as BKS attempts to truly reinvent the bookstore into a “social space”.

Editor's Note: In the following Bloomberg interview, James Friedland of Cowen & Co. certainly disagrees with Jonathan's point of view. The guys does not seem to really understand "Nook".
