Friday's market movers
U.S. market indexes ended flat on Friday as the government remained partially shut down. Congress is expected to reconvene on Dec. 31 with further discussions on President Trump's demands for funding a border wall. For the year, the S&P 500 now has a -7.79% return. Stocks have only one trading day left in 2018 with a regular 4 p.m. Eastern close on Monday.
Treasuries have been slightly decreasing in recent trading with the 10-year Treasury yield at approximately 2.74%. Bond markets will close early Monday at 2 p.m. Eastern.

- Pending home sales decreased 0.7% in November and -7.7% annually.
- The Baker Hughes North American rig count decreased to 1,153 from 1,211.
