Earlier this year, legendary Investment Guru Martin Whitman stepped down from the CIO position of Third Avenue Funds. Stepping into his shoes is Curits Jensen, a long time Whitman’s Pretege. Curtis Jensen manages Third Avenue Small-Cap Value Fund.

Recently, Jensen was interviewed by MorningStar’s Jason Stripp.

In Part I, Curtis Jensen says that despite the recent rally, several names in the portfolio remain very undervalued.

In Part II of the interview, Curtis Jensen says a herd mentality toward fixed-income assets has left some bond sectors very overvalued with only selective opportunity in others.

In Part III, Curtis Jensen discusses the portfolio's overseas focus areas and the need for patience in Japan.

In Part Iv, Curtis Jensen says policy uncertainty today is getting translated into mispricings in areas like health care, banking, and aerospace and defense.
