Barton Biggs, managing partner at Traxis Partners LP, talks with Bloomberg's Margaret Brennan about the outlook for the global economy. Biggs also discusses China's moves to cool growth, the decline in the euro and investor sentiment.

Biggs is a Bloomberg regular and he is bull towards the economy and stock market.

There are always some uncertainties around the global, but in today’s cases, Biggs thinks both China and EU have responded to the problems they are facing appropriately. Right now, these hot spots are controllable. China in all probability is going to have soft landing; and the EU has sent the right message to have Greece behave responsibly and they will take care of Greece.

“The US numbers suggest we are going to have strong economy. The Asians are having very strong recovery.” Biggs says.

The high level of shorting activities and low net longing on the Hedge Fund’s part are contrarian signals for Biggs to remain bullish.

What could change his bullish stand? Perhaps if EU and IMF withhold from helping Greece and a contagious sovereign debt crisis occur, and the China boom comes to a halt. But Biggs does not see that coming.
