AMN Healthcare Services Inc was incorporated in the state of Delaware on November 10, 1997. It operates as a healthcare staffing company in the United States. The Company provides travel nurse and allied staffing services, locum tenens and physician permanent placement services. It recruits physicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals. The Company conducts its business and provides services through three reportable segments; Nurse and Allied Healthcare Staffing Segment, Locum Tenens Staffing Segment and Physician Permanent Placement Services Segment. Through its Nurse and Allied Healthcare Staffing Segment, the Company provide hospital and other healthcare facilities of clinical workforce solutions, which includes including comprehensive managed services workforce solution, a recruitment process outsourcing program, a vendor management system delivered via a software as a service model through its newly acquired subsidiary, ShiftWise, Inc.; and traditional staffing service solutions of local, short and long-term assignment lengths. The Company provides nurse specialties and disciplines for temporary assignments in the United States. It provides allied health professionals under brands that include Med Travelers, Club Staffing and Rx Pro Health to acute-care hospitals and other healthcare facilities such as skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation clinics, and retail and mail-order pharmacies. Through its Locum Tenens Staffing Segment, the Company provides managed service programs, a VMS solution, and traditional temporary staffing services. The Company provides Physician Permanent Placement Services under its Merritt Hawkins and Kendall & Davis brands to hospitals, healthcare facilities and physician practice groups in the United States. The Company market it's managed services solutions, travel nurse and allied recruitment services to hospitals and healthcare facilities under one brand, AMN Healthcare, as a managed services provider with access to clinicians through multiple recruitment brands, including American Mobile, Nursefinders, Medical ExpressSM, NurseChoice, NursesRx, Med Travelers, Club Staffing, Rx Pro Health, and O'Grady Peyton International. For other service offerings, the Company generally market using brand names, including ShiftWise for its VMS technology, StaffCare and Linde Healthcare for its locum tenens businesses, and Merritt Hawkins and Kendall & Davis for its physician permanent placement services. The Company's clients include acute and sub-acute care hospitals, government facilities, community health centers and clinics, physician practice groups, and several other healthcare settings.
