Business Description

Bank of Kentucky Financial Corporation was incorporated as a Kentucky corporation in 1993. It is a bank holding company that provides financial services through its subsidiary, The Bank of Kentucky, Inc. The Bank provides financial service and other financial solutions through 32 offices located in northern Kentucky, which includes Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties and parts of Grant and Gallatin counties in northern Kentucky and also greater Cincinnati, Ohio. The main products produced and services rendered by the Bank are as follows: Commercial Banking; Consumer Banking; and Trust Services. The Bank provides a full range of commercial banking services to corporations and other business clients. Loans are provided for a variety of general corporate purposes, including financing for commercial and industrial projects, income producing commercial real estate, owner-occupied real estate and construction and land development. The Bank also provides a wide range of deposit services, including checking, lockbox services and other treasury management services. The Bank provides banking services to consumers, including checking, savings and money market accounts as well as certificates of deposits and individual retirement accounts. The Bank also provides consumers with electronic banking products like internet banking, debit cards and etc. In addition, the Bank provides consumer clients with installment and real estate loans and home equity lines of credit. The Bank offers specialized services and expertise in the areas of wealth management and trust. These services include the administration of personal trusts and estates as well as the management of investment accounts for individuals. It has numerous local, regional and national nonbank competitors, including savings and loan associations, credit unions, mortgage companies, insurance companies, finance companies, financial service operations of major retailers, investment brokerage and financial advisory firms and mutual fund companies. There is significant competition within the banking and financial services industry in northern Kentucky, which is the primary market in which the Bank operates. The Company is a bank holding company subject to regulation by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB) under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended (BHCA).
