Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc was incorporated in August 1995 under the name Eller Media Company. In 1997, Clear Channel Communications, Inc., its parent company, entered the outdoor advertising industry with its acquisition of Eller Media Company. The Company changed its name to Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. in August 2005. It is an outdoor advertising company. The Company provides clients with advertising opportunities through billboards, street furniture displays, transit displays and other out-of-home advertising displays, such as wallscapes, spectaculars and mall displays. Geographically, its business is segmented into two regions - Americas and International. The Americas segment primarily includes operations in the United States and Canada; and the International segment primarily includes operations in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. The Company derives revenues from the sale of advertising copy placed on its traditional and digital displays that it owns or operates in key markets.
