Citizens Holding Company is a one-bank holding company incorporated under the laws of the State of Mississippi in 1982. The Company's wholly-owned subsidiary is The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia, Mississippi which operates under a state bank charter and provides general banking services. The Company engages in a range of commercial and personal banking activities, including accepting demand deposits, savings and time deposit accounts, making secured and unsecured loans, issuing letters of credit, originating mortgage loans, and providing personal and corporate trust services. The Company also provides services that are closely related to commercial banking such as credit life insurance and title insurance for its loan customers. The Company also offers discount brokerage services through a networking agreement with First Tennessee Bank. The Company offers loan products such as secured and unsecured loans, and real estate loans, including single and multi-family housing, farm, residential and commercial construction, and commercial real estate loans. The Company and the Bank are subject to extensive federal and state regulation and supervision of the Federal Reserve Board.
