Columbia Banking System Inc, through its wholly owned banking subsidiary provides banking and financial services to retail deposit customers, small to medium-sized businesses and affluent households.

Columbia Banking System Inc is a registered bank holding company whose wholly owned banking subsidiary is Columbia State Bank, which was established in 1993. The bank provides banking services to small and medium-sized businesses, professionals and individuals. Its subsidiary, West Coast Trust Company, Inc., an Oregon trust company provides agency, fiduciary and other related trust services with offices in Portland and Salem, Oregon. Columbia Bank was established in 1993 to offer commercial banking services. Substantially all of Columbia Bank's loans, loan commitments and core deposits are within its service areas. Columbia Bank is a Washington state-chartered commercial bank, the deposits of which are insured in whole or in part by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. It has established a network of 149 branches in Washington and Oregon as of December 31, 2015. It operates 74 branches in 21 counties in the state of Washington, 59 branches in 16 counties in Oregon and 16 branches in 10 counties in Idaho. Its Business Banking products include Agricultural Lending, Cash Management, Checking and Saving Accounts, Commercial & Industrial Lending, International Banking, Merchant Card Services, Mobile Banking, Municipal Lending, Online Banking, Real Estate and Real Estate Construction Lending, Remote Deposit Capture, SBA Lending, Small Business Services and VISA Card Services. Its Wealth Management products include Investment Services through CB Financial Services, Private Banking, Professional Banking and Trust Services.
