The Churchill Corporation was incorporated on August 31, 1981 in Canada under the Companies Act of Alberta and was continued under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) on July 30, 1985. It is engaged in construction and industrial services. The Company through its subsidiaries provides building construction, commercial electrical and data systems contracting, industrial insulation contracting, industrial electrical and instrumentation contracting, civil construction and related services within Canada. It segments include General Contracting, Commercial Systems, and Industrial Services. The company's General Contracting division provides constructs commercial, institutional light-industrial and multi-unit residential buildings and is a general contractor in Western Canada's building markets. Its Commercial Systems division designs, builds, maintains, and services electrical and data communications systems for commercial, institutional, light industrial, and multi-family residential customers. Its services include the design of electrical distribution systems within a building or complex; procurement and installation of electrical equipment and materials; on-call service for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting; preventative and The Company's Industrial Services division provides electrical, instrumentation, and power-line construction and maintenance services to resource and industrial clients primarily in the Fort McMurray and greater Edmonton regions. Industrial Services consists of Churchill Services Group (CSG) and Broda. CSG has three divisions: Laird Electric Inc., Laird Constructors Inc. and Specialty Services provides electrical, instrumentation and power-line construction and maintenance services to resource and industrial clients, in the oil and gas industry in the Fort McMurray and greater Edmonton regions. Laird Constructors is a multi-trade contractor providing electrical, instrumentation, power-line, mechanical and structural construction and maintenance services to resource and industrial clients, primarily in the mining and power generation industries in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Specialty Services has two operating companies, Fuller Austin Inc. and Northern Industrial Insulation Contractors Inc., serving industrial clients with insulation, asbestos abatement, siding application, heating, ventilation and air conditioning ('HVAC'), and plant maintenance services. Broda provides aggregate processing, earthwork, civil construction, concrete production and related services to mining and infrastructure organizations, and Canada's two major railway corporations.
