Dunkin Brands Group Inc is incorporated in the state of Delaware in the year 2004. The Company is a franchisor of quick service restaurants 'QSRs' serving hot and cold coffee and baked goods, as well as hard serve ice cream. The Company franchises restaurants under its Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands. With over 18,000 points of distribution in approximately 60 countries, its portfolio has brand awareness in many markets. The Company is organized into four reporting segments: Dunkin' Donuts U.S., Dunkin' Donuts International, Baskin-Robbins U.S and Baskin-Robbins International. Dunkin' Donuts is a QSR concept, with market positions in each of the coffee, donut, bagel, muffin and breakfast sandwich categories. Dunkin' Donuts International is responsible for sourcing their own supplies, subject to compliance with its standards. They also produce their own donuts following the Dunkin' Donuts brand's approved processes. Baskin-Robbins manufacturing network is comprised of nine facilities, none of which are owned or operated by the Company, that supply its international markets with ice cream products. It utilizes a facility owned by Dean Foods to produce ice cream products which it purchase and distribute to many of its international markets. The Baskin-Robbins brand restaurants in India and Russia are supported by master franchisee-owned facilities in those respective countries while the restaurants in Japan and South Korea are supported by the joint venture-owned facilities located within each country. The Company own or have rights to trademarks, service marks or trade names that use in connection with the operation of business, including corporate names, logos and website names. Some of the trademarks the Company own include Dunkin' Donuts(r) and Baskin-Robbins(r). The Company's competitors include 7-Eleven, Burger King, Cold Stone Creamery, Cumberland Farms, Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Panera Bread, Quick Trip, Starbucks, Subway, Tim Hortons, WaWa, and Wendy's, among others. The Company is subject to a variety of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including environmental, zoning, and land use requirements.
