Physicians Realty Trust was formed as a Maryland real estate investment trust on April 9, 2013. The Company, a healthcare real estate company, is organized to acquire, selectively develop, own and manage healthcare properties that are leased to physicians, hospitals and healthcare delivery systems. Its properties typically are on a campus with a hospital or other healthcare facilities or strategically located and affiliated with a hospital or other healthcare facilities. Its initial portfolio consists of 19 medical office buildings located in ten states.
