Envision Healthcare Holdings Inc provides physician-led, outsourced medical services in the United States with approximately 34,000 employees and affiliated clinicians. The Company operates in two business segments: EmCare and AMR.

Envision Healthcare Holdings Inc was incorporated on February 28, 2011 in the State of Delaware. The Company completed its initial public offering on August 19, 2013. The Company is engaged in providing physician-led, outsourced medical services in the United States with approximately more than 34,000 affiliated clinicians. It offers range of clinically-based and coordinated care solutions across the patient continuum, includes the patient treatment cycle, from medical transportation to hospital encounters to comprehensive care alternatives in various settings. The Company markets its services on a stand-alone, multi-service and integrated basis, and operates under two segments EmCare and AMR. EmCare is engaged in providing integrated facility-based physician services, including emergency, anesthesiology, hospitalist/inpatient care, radiology, tele-radiology and surgery programs including; contract management, staffing, recruiting, scheduling, operational improvement assessments, practice support services, practice improvement, and physician-led care management solutions. It has approximately 8,000 affiliated physicians and other clinicians. It also offers physician-led care management solutions outside the hospital. AMR provides and manages community-based medical transportation services, including emergency 911 response service, non-emergency, managed transportation, fixed-wing air ambulance and disaster response. It has approximately more than 12,000 paramedics and emergency medical technicians. The Company's EmCare competes with both national and regional enterprises including; Team Health, Hospital Physician Partners, the Schumacher Group, Sheridan Healthcare, California Emergency Physicians, National Emergency Services Healthcare Group and IPC. The Company's AMR competes with governmental entities, including cities and fire districts, hospitals, local and volunteer private providers, and with national and regional providers including; Rural/Metro Corporation, Falck, Southwest Ambulance, Paramedics Plus and Acadian Ambulance. The Company's business and its affiliated physicians are subject to various federal, state and local licensing and certification laws and regulations and accreditation standards and other laws, relating to, among other things, the adequacy of medical care, equipment, personnel and operating policies and procedures.
