Exelon Corporation, a public utility holding company. It was incorporated in Pennsylvania in February 1999. The Company operates through its principal subsidiaries- Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), PECO Energy Company (PECO) and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), in the energy delivery businesses. The Company's Generation's integrated business consists of its owned and contracted electric generating facilities and investments in generation ventures that are marketed through its customer-facing activities. Generation has six segments consisting of the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, New England, New York, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and other regions. Generation also sells other energy-related products and other services to meet its customers requirements. Its Constellation business unit provides energy products and services to approximately 100,000 business and public sector customers and approximately 1 million residential customers. ComEd's energy delivery business consists of the purchase and regulated retail sale of electricity.
