Fabrinet was organized under the laws of the Cayman Islands in August 12, 1999 and commenced its business operations in January 2000. The Company provides optical packaging and precision optical, electro-mechanical and electronic manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of complex products such as optical communication components, modules and sub-systems, industrial lasers, medical devices, and sensors. It offers a broad range of optical and electro-mechanical capabilities across the entire manufacturing process, including process design and engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, complex printed circuit board assembly, packaging, integration, final assembly and test. Its Products includes optical communications devices, solid state, diode-pumped, gas and fiber laser, and sensors. It also design and fabricate application-specific crystals, lenses, prisms, mirrors, laser components and substrates and among others. Its geographical area includes North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. Its customers in these industries support a growing number of end-markets, including automotive, biotechnology, communications, materials processing, medical devices, metrology and semiconductor processing. It competes with Benchmark Electronics, Inc., Celestica Inc., Sanmina-SCI Corporation and Venture Corporation Limited and others.
