Franklin Street Properties Corporation was originally formed as a Massachusetts general partnership in January 1997. On January 1, 2002, the FSP Partnership converted into FSP Corp. The Company operates as a real estate investment trust. The Company is focused on commercial real estate investments primarily in office markets and currently operates in only one segment i.e: real estate operations. The Company owns and operates a portfolio of real estate consisting of 39 office properties. It provides asset management, property management, property accounting, investor and/or development services to its portfolio and certain of its Sponsored REITs through its subsidiaries. WITH respect to ITS real estate investments, it faces competition in each of the markets where its properties are located.
