Hillenbrand was incorporated on November 1, 2007, in the state of Indiana. It manufactures and supplies burial caskets, cremation products, and related services to licensed funeral homes with its two business platforms: the Process Equipment Group and Batesville. The Process Equipment Group is a recognized leader in the design, production, marketing and servicing of equipment and systems used in processing applications for a wide range of industrial markets like plastics, food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation, coal mining, pulp and paper, frac sand, industrial minerals, agribusiness, recycling, wood and forest products, and biomass energy generation. Its three operating companies are K-Tron, which focuses primarily on feeding and pneumatic conveying equipment; Rotex, a manufacturer of separation equipment, including gyratory and vibratory screeners and sifters; and TerraSource Global, which makes size reduction equipment, conveying systems and screening equipment, operating under three brands: Pennsylvania, Gundlach and Jeffrey Rader. Batesville is a recognized leader in the North American funeral products industry. where it has been designing, manufacturing, distributing, and selling funeral service products to licensed funeral directors operating licensed funeral homes for more than 100 years. Batesville-branded products consist primarily of burial caskets, but also include cremation caskets, containers, vaults, urns, and selection room display fixturing for funeral homes, and other personalization and memorialization products and services, including web-based applications and the creation and hosting of websites for licensed funeral homes.They acquired K-Tron in April 2010 and Rotex in August 2011. These two businesses comprise what they now refer to as the Process Equipment Group.
