Investors Real Estate Trust was organized under the laws of North Dakota on July 31, 1970. It owns and operates income-producing real estate properties. Its investments consist of multi-family residential properties and commercial properties composed of office, healthcare, industrial and retail. These properties are located primarily in the upper Midwest states of Minnesota and North Dakota. Its residential leases are generally for a one-year term. Its commercial properties are typically leased to tenants under long-term lease arrangements. The Trust operates in five reportable real estate segments: multi-family residential; office; healthcare, including senior housing; industrial and retail. The Trust competes with other owners and developers of multi-family and commercial properties to attract tenants to our properties.
