Isramco Inc is a Delaware corporation incorporated in 1982. The Company, together with its subsidiaries, is an independent oil and natural gas company, engaged in the exploration, development and production of predominately oil and natural gas properties located onshore in the United States and off shore Israel. It also operates a service company that provides a range of onshore well services to oil companies and independent oil and natural gas production companies conducting operations in the United States. It owns varying working interests in oil and gas wells in Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado and currently serves as operator of approximately 589 producing wells, which are located in Texas and New Mexico. It operates in two operating segments; Oil and Gas Exploration and Production segment, and Production Services segment. The Oil and Gas segment is engaged in the exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas properties located onshore in the United States and ownership of various royalty interests in oil and gas concessions located offshore Israel. The rig-based services include the completion of newly drilled wells, workover and recompletion of existing oil and natural gas wells, well maintenance, and the plugging and abandonment of wells at the end of their useful lives. The oil and natural gas industry is mostly competitive and the Company competes with many other companies that have greater financial and other resources. The Company is subject to complex laws and regulations relating to environmental protection that can adversely affect the cost, manner, and feasibility of doing business.
