Communications Systems, Inc. is a Minnesota corporation organized in 1969. The Company manufactures and sells modular connecting and wiring devices for voice and data communications, digital subscriber line filters, and structured wiring systems as well as media and rate conversion products for telecommunications networks. It also provides IT solutions including network design, computer infrastructure installations, IT service management, change management, network security and network operations services. Its operations are segmented into three - Suttle, Transition Networks and JDL Technologies. Suttle segment manufactures and markets a variety of telecommunication products for outside plant, connectivity and premise distribution. Its solutions include U.S. standard modular connecting and wiring devices for voice and data communications. The products are marketed under the Suttle brand in the United States and around the globe. Its clientele include the major communication companies globally, including both telephone and cable service provider companies. Transition Networks segment designs and market media conversion products, ethernet switches, and other connectivity and data transmission products. These products enable customers to integrate fiber optics into their existing network infrastructure as their networks grow, and extend data services to customers or remote locations. This segment uses contract manufacturers to manufacture its products in different geographical locations. JDL Technologies segment provides IT services focused on network design and integration, IT service and support management, cloud and virtualization services, and network operations center management.
