Kingstone Companies, Inc., was incorporated in 1961 and assumed the name DCAP Group, Inc. in 1999. On July 1, 2009, it changed its name to Kingstone Companies, Inc. The Company offers property and casualty insurance products to small businesses and individuals in New York State through its subsidiary, Kingstone Insurance Company ('KICO'). The company derives 99% of its revenue from KICO, which includes revenues from earned premiums, ceding commissions from quota share reinsurance, net investment income generated from its portfolio, and net realized gains and losses on investment securities. The Company competes with large national carriers as well as regional and local carriers in the property and casualty insurance marketplace. The Company, as the parent of KICO, is subject to the insurance holding company laws of the state of New York.
