Business Description

LogMeIn, Inc. was originally formed as a Bermuda limited liability Company in February 2003. In August 2004, the Company was reorganized as a Delaware corporation. The Company develops and markets a suite of remote access and support solutions that provide instant, secure connections between internets enabled devices. The Company's product line includes Gravitytm, LogMeIn(r) Free(r), LogMeIn (r) Pro(r), LogMeIn(r) IT Reach(r), LogMeIn(r) Rescue(r), LogMeIn(r) Rescue+Mobiletm, LogMeIn(r) Backuptm, LogMeIn(r) Ignitiontm, LogMeIn(r) Hamachitm, and RemotelyAnywhere(r). The Company is based in Woburn, Massachusetts with wholly-owned subsidiaries in Budapest, Hungary, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Sydney, Australia. It provides on-demand, remote-connectivity solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, or SMBs, IT service providers and consumers. Businesses and IT service providers use remote connectivity solutions to deliver remote, end-user support and to access and manage computers and other Internet-enabled devices more effectively and efficiently. Consumers and mobile workers use its remote connectivity solutions to access computer resources remotely, thereby facilitating their mobility and increasing its productivity. In 2004, it introduced LogMeIn Free, a service that allows users to access computer resources remotely. The Company's LogMeIn Free and LogMeIn Hamachi, its popular free services, attract a large and diverse group of users and increase awareness of its services. As of December 31, 2011, its users have connected over 150 million smartphones, tablets, computers, and other Internet-enabled devices to a LogMeIn service. It complements free services with nine premium services sold on a subscription basis including LogMeIn Rescue and LogMeIn Central, its flagship remote support and management services and LogMeIn Pro, its premium remote access service. It relies on a combination of copyright, trade secret, trademark and other rights in the United States and other jurisdictions, as well as confidentiality procedures and contractual provisions to protect its proprietary technology, processes and other intellectual property.
