Laredo Petroleum Holdings, Inc. is a Delaware corporation formed on August 12, 2011, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Laredo Petroleum, LLC. The company is an independent energy company focused on the exploration, development and acquisition of oil and natural gas in the Permian and Mid-Continent regions of the United States. Its activities are primarily focused in the Wolfberry and deeper horizons of the Permian Basin in West Texas and the Anadarko Granite Wash in the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma, where the company has assembled approximately 126,500 net acres and 38,000 net acres, respectively. Both of these plays are characterized by high oil and liquids-rich natural gas content, multiple target horizons, extensive production histories, long-lived reserves, high drilling success rates and significant initial production rates. On July 1, 2011, it completed the acquisition of Broad Oak, which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Laredo Petroleum, Inc. Broad Oak was formed in 2006 with financial support from its management and Warburg Pincus. On July 19, 2011, it changed the name of Broad Oak to Laredo Petroleum—Dallas, Inc. Oil and natural gas sales of approximately $236.5 million, compared to approximately $95.6 million for the six months ended June 30, 2010; Its activities are primarily focused in the Wolfberry and deeper horizons of the Permian Basin in West Texas and the Anadarko Granite Wash in the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma. Both of these plays are characterized by high oil and liquids-rich content, multiple target horizons, extensive production histories, long-lived reserves, high drilling success rates and significant initial production rates. As of June 30, 2011, it had an interest in 1,028 gross producing wells and operated approximately 98% of the production of its proved developed oil and natural gas reserves. For the six months ended June 30, 2011, it's revenues are comprised of sales of approximately, 60% oil, 39% gas and 1% for transportation, gathering, drilling and production.
