MB Financial Inc is a financial holding company. The Company through its subsidiary offers financial services to small and middle market businesses and individuals in the markets that it serves. It provides banking, leasing and mortgage banking services.

MB Financial Inc was incorporated as a Maryland corporation on November 6, 2001 in connection with a merger of predecessor companies. The Company is a financial holding company and its main market is the Chicago metropolitan area, in which it operates approximately 80 banking offices through its bank subsidiary, MB Financial Bank, N.A. Through MB Financial Bank, the Company offers a range of financial services mainly to small and middle market businesses and individuals in the markets that it serves. The Company operates in segments including banking, leasing and mortgage banking. The Company's banking segment serves small and middle market businesses and their owners. It operates four lines of business within its banking segment including commercial banking, lease banking, retail banking, and wealth management. Commercial banking provides credit, deposit, treasury management, capital markets, and international banking products to middle market businesses, located in the Chicago metropolitan, southwest Wisconsin and northeast Indiana areas; Lease banking offers loans similar to those offered in the commercial banking business line but serves equipment lessors located throughout the United States; and Retail banking has 80 banking offices and 122 ATMs located throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, and also has one branch in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It offers retail banking customers, both business and consumer, a variety of deposit products and services, such as checking, savings, money market, NOW and certificates of deposit. The Company's wealth management group provides wealth management solutions to individuals, and for-profit and not-for-profit entities. It provides investment management, custody, personal trust, financial planning and wealth advisory services to business owners, high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments and municipal agencies, and private banking services through its private bankers, asset management and trust advisors and Cedar Hill, a registered investment advisor. The Company's leasing segment includes ease originations and related services offered through its leasing subsidiaries. Its lease portfolio consists of various kinds of equipment, generally technology related, such as computer systems, satellite equipment, medical equipment and general manufacturing, industrial, construction and transportation equipment. The mortgage banking segment originates residential mortgage loans for sale to investors and for the Company's portfolio through its retail and third-party channels, as well as 80 retail banking branches. This segment also services residential mortgage loans for various investors and for loans owned by the Company and makes bulk purchases of servicing rights. The Company's lending activities include loans to businesses or for business purposes offering commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, construction real estate loan, lease loans, residential real estate loans, and co
