Newfield Exploration Co is a energy company. It is engaged in the exploration, development & production of crude oil, natural gas & natural gas liquids. Its areas of operation include Mid-Continent, the Rocky Mountains & onshore Gulf Coast.

Newfield Exploration Co is a Delaware corporation formed in 1988. The Company is an energy company. It is engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Its areas of operation include the Mid-Continent, the Rocky Mountains and onshore Gulf Coast regions of United States. 46% of its proved reserves are located in its Mid-Continent region. Its assets are comprised of more than 400,000 net acres in the Anadarko and Arkoma basins where it has over a decade of experience developing the Woodford Shale. It has dry gas production from the Arkoma Basin. 43% of its proved reserves are located in the Rocky Mountains region. Its customers include Tesoro Corporation, Sunoco Logistics Partners Operations GP LLC and Royal Dutch Shell plc. Exploration and development and the production and sale of oil and gas are subject to extensive federal, state, local and international regulations.
