Numerex Corp was founded in 1992. The Company provides on-demand and interactive machine-to-machine, referred to as 'M2M', enterprise solutions. It provides M2M business services, technology, and products used in the development and support of M2M solutions for the enterprise and government markets. The Company has built platforms that are cloud-based and service-centric to facilitate the development, deployment and use of its customers' M2M, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions across various markets. An M2M solution is generally viewed as a combination of devices, software and services that operate with little or no human interaction. Its subscription-based platform services, which generate streams of long-term, high-margin recurring revenues, are the cornerstone of its business model. The Company operates in the Business-to-Business market, and its customers, in general, serve the final end users. Its products and services are manly sold to enterprise and government organizations. It targeted vertical markets include supply chain, asset tracking and security. The Company accelerates the development process for customers, through its cloud-based horizontal M2M platform Numerex FAST, which can be accessed through various service delivery options, separately or combined, such as: Network-as-a-Service (NaaS); Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS); and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).In addition to specifically configured business solutions, it sells unbranded, end-user ready ('white label') solutions typically to channel partners who have well-defined markets that do not necessarily require a configured or customized solution. Its offerings use cellular, satellite, broadband and wireline networks. It sells configured solutions and related services to, with, and through its strategic partner channels such as system integrators, consultative groups, wireless networks operators, key supply chain partners and end-user enterprises. It employs an indirect sales model for its unbranded (white label) products through Value Added Resellers (VARs), vertically focused System Integrators (SIs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who integrate its products and services into their own solutions. It also indirectly market and sell certain Numerex branded products and services through distribution and dealer channels, specifically the Uplink platform. Uplink alarm security products are sold "off the shelf" into distribution and to dealers throughout North America. It rely on third-party contract manufacturers and wireless network operators and carriers, both in the United States and overseas, to manufacture the equipment used to provide wireless M2M solutions, networking equipment and products. It also rely on multiple third-party wireless network operators both in the United States and Canada, to provide the underlying network service infrastructure that it use to support M2M data network. Its portfolio of registered United States, European, Canadian,
