Business Description

Napco Security Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in December 1971 in the State of Delaware. The Company is a manufacturer of security products, encompassing intrusion and fire alarms, building access control systems and electronic locking devices. These products are used for commercial, residential, institutional, industrial and governmental applications, and are sold worldwide mainly to independent distributors, dealers and installers of security equipment. The Company owns and operates manufacturing facilities in Amityville, New York and the Dominican Republic. It designs, engineers and markets the software and control panels. Access control systems consist of one or more of the following: different types of identification readers (e.g. card readers, hand scanners, etc.), a control panel, a PC-based computer and electronically activated door-locking devices. It also buys and resells identification readers, PC-based computers and peripheral equipment for access control systems. Alarm systems usually consist of detectors, a control panel, a digital keypad and signaling equipment. The Company manufactures and markets the following products for alarm systems: Automatic Communicators, Control Panels, Combination Control Panels/Digital Communicators and Digital Keypad Systems, Door Security Devices, Fire Alarm Control Panel and Area Detectors. The Company also markets peripheral and related equipment manufactured by other companies. The Company intends to continue to conduct a portion of its future research and development activities internally.
