Prologis Inc is the owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, focused on hub and gateway distribution markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Prologis Inc formerly known as AMB Property Corporation is a Maryland corporation, commenced operations as a fully integrated real estate company in 1997. The Company is a owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, focused on hub and gateway distribution markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia. It operates in two segments Real Estate Operations and Strategic Capital. Real Estate Operations represents the ownership of industrial operating properties and is the main source of its revenue and earnings. Real Estate Operations segment also includes development, re-development and acquisition activities that lead to rental operations. It develops, re-develops and acquires industrial properties to meet its customers' needs. Strategic Capital represents the management of unconsolidated co-investment ventures. It invests with partners and investors through its ventures, both private and public. It tailors industrial portfolios to investors' specific needs and deploy capital with a focus on larger, ventures with longer duration and open-ended funds with global institutions. These private and public vehicles provide capital for distinct geographies across its platform. It faces competition from investment managers for institutional capital within our strategic capital business. The Company's operations are subject to governmental regulations.
