Pacific Premier Bancorp Inc is a Delaware company organized in 1997. The Company, through its subsidiary is a California state-chartered commercial bank. It provides banking services within its targeted markets in California to businesses, including the owners and employees of those businesses, professionals, real estate investors and non-profit organizations. It also provides certain banking services in various regions. Through its Home Owners' Association "HOA" Banking and Lending unit, it provides customized cash management, electronic banking services and credit facilities to HOAs and HOA management companies in different regions. Through its U.S. Small Business Administration "SBA" Lending unit, it provides entrepreneurs and small business owners access to loans needed for working capital and continued growth. Through its branches and its Internet website, the Company offers an array of deposit products and services, including checking, money market and savings accounts, cash management services, electronic banking services, and on-line bill payment. It also offers an array of loan products, such as commercial business loans, lines of credit, SBA loans, warehouse credit facilities, commercial real estate loans, residential home loans, construction loans and consumer loans. Its lending activities are; General, Commercial and Industrial Lending, Commercial Owner-Occupied Business Lending, SBA Lending, Warehouse Repurchase Facilities, Commercial Non-Owner Occupied Real Estate Lending, Multi-family Residential Lending, Construction Lending, One-to-Four Family Real Estate Lending, and Other Loans. It had 13 depository branches located in the cities of Encinitas, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Seal Beach. The Company competes with commercial banks, savings banks, credit unions, and numerous non-banking institutions, such as finance companies, leasing companies, insurance companies, brokerage firms and investment banking firms. The Company is subject to the regulations of certain governmental agencies and undergoes periodic examinations by those regulatory authorities.
