Pilgrims Pride Corp is engaged in processing, marketing and distribution of fresh, frozen and value-added chicken products to retailers, distributors and food service operators. It offers whole chickens, whole cut-up chickens and selected chicken parts.

Pilgrim's Pride raises, processes, and distributes fresh, frozen, and value-added chicken to grocers, foodservice operators, and distributors. Most revenue is domestically generated, with 81% of sales made to customers in the U.S. in 2016. Mexico is the firm's most important foreign market, accounting for 16% of 2016 sales. In addition to commodity sales and products under its namesake brand, Pilgrim's Pride sells items under the Gold Kist, Country Post, and Pierce labels. As of 2016, JBS S.A. owns 79% of Pilgrim's outstanding stock.
