PetroChina Co Ltd is engaged in the exploration, development, production and sale of crude oil and natural gas; refining of crude oil and petroleum products, transmission of natural gas, crude oil and refined products and sale of natural gas.

PetroChina, the national champion that inherited the majority of Chinese onshore oil and gas assets, has developed into an international supermajor, with an expansive pipeline network that supplies 75% of China's natural gas demand. It produces more than 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent of oil and gas annually and has more than 140 million tons of crude oil refinery capacity and roughly 20,000 service stations.
